4″ Camera Pole Anchor Baskets
Anchor baskets are required when anchoring into a poured foundation. We make anchor baskets which serve several purposes, to make it easy to set a pole onto the proper bolts. The anchor baskets use a plywood template in order to hold the correct Bolt Circle Diameter (BCD), and the correct bolt and thread projection (how far above the concrete the bolts stick out). This insures that the washers and nuts fit onto the J-Bolts with enough room to tighten them properly, but not too far, so that the bolt covers fit onto the base.
After pouring the concrete, wiggle the anchor basket into the concrete and level the bolts and/or the plywood. Before the concrete is completely dry, remove the plywood and make sure that the concrete below it is level and smooth. This insures that you won’t have to level the pole with washers later, which effects the stability of the pole.
If you are wall mounting a pole, or you are mounting a short pole on existing concrete with anchor bolts, you may not need an anchor basket.
